Phenom Hoops continues to release its rankings, as we recently released the Class of 2027 here in North Carolina. This is a very interesting class with a ton of rising talent, including several names that you will be and have already seen on the national stage. No matter how you rank these players, these prospects have certainly proven themselves in a big way as we dive into more of their games.

2027 Rankings: https://www.phenomhoopreport.com/2027-north-carolina-rankings/

2027 6’5 King Gibson (The Burlington School)

Gibson has been a well-known name for quite some time, and you could easily see at a young age that he was just a bit different from others. He has only continued to improve and showcase his impact, and we are excited to see him this upcoming season being more assertive and as the go-to guy more. Gibson is a national name with his impact on both ends, whether he is flying high at the rim, scoring effectively from multiple levels, or being a strong defensive presence.

2027 6’7 CJ Rosser (Northern Nash)

There is no doubt about it… Rosser has the early tools to be a special talent. He is clearly a national name, but his best years are ahead of him. Rosser has so many factors that you have to like with his long length, fluidity, and ability to score inside and out as a 6’7 prospect. And he will only get better as he gets stronger and understands just how impactful he can be on the court. Again, he is easily a national name and what makes him so intriguing is his ceiling, as he may have the highest out of all of the national prospects.

2027 6’5 Jordan Page (Broughton)

It was great to get multiple viewings of Page and learn more about his game, and you can see that this is a young man who has an elite motor and a ton of talent to back up his game.  With his 6’5 frame and physical presence, Page does a great job of being assertive off the dribble, attacking the rim and finishing, and getting to his spots. And his motor in creating extra opportunities and on the boards was impressive when we watched him.  As he continues to work more on his overall game and expand more, Page will certainly be a name that continues to find his name on national rankings.

2027 6’3 LJ Smith (Lincolnton)

Smith is another player that just has that “it” factor in his game that impresses you. When you watch his game, you can’t help but be amazed by his offensive skillset and ability to be a playmaker.  Smith scores with ease, creating for himself off the bounce, finding ways to score around defenders, knocking down shots from all levels, and really putting the pressure on a defense.  He is coming off a season in which averaged 32 points per game as a freshman, and he looks to eclipse those numbers as a sophomore.
