#2 Thomas Tyler 5’11” Point Guard (Upward Stars Columbia 17u-Joye) class of 2020
This kid was putting on a clinic on how to score. Dropped 36 points in a big win against Team Charlotte 17u-Herron in game 7 on court 2 at Nation Ford HS. His stat line was a impressive 36 points, 7 assist, 6 steals, 3 rebounds, 9 made threes. You read correctly 9 made threes, if he shot it it was going in, his misses were makes that rimmed out and I counted 4 of those that just missed. He is ultra savvy with the ball in his hands. Awesome feel for the game, knew when to shoot, when to pass and when to facilitate the offense. A true floor general. He was definitely in his bag when it came to scoring. This kid is a baller!!!
#11 Jackson Noble 6’7” Forward (NC Gaters Richardson) class of 2023
Posted a 30 point, 16 rebound against Carolina Pressure 15u in game 4 on court 2 at Nation Ford HS. This long lanky forward has post moves for days as he scored with ease around the basket, even showed range knocking down a long three for good measure and several midrange jumpers. Rebounds at a high rate and is a definite presence on the defensive end with his size and length. Only a 9th grader with tons of skill. A definite player to watch going forward as he matures and develops physically. A tough cover especially in that NC Gater Offense that operates with precision and effectiveness.
#22 Trelin Harper 6’7” Forward (Team Vision) class of 2021
Had a dominating 22 point, 18 rebound, 4 block games against E.A. Prep 17u in game 6 on court 2 at Nation Ford HS. This big bodied forward was dominant from the opening tip. He made his presence felt with rebound after rebound, offensively and defensively. Was a definite load with his college ready frame. Played with a high motor with bodies hanging/banging all on and over him. No matter the situation he would come up with a timely rebound and score. Never was rattled he just played his game. Very impressive player on and off the court. Will be that much better as his offensive game expands.
#8 Julius Reese Jr. “Juice” 6’3” Wing (Team Winston 15) class of 2022
Started the day off in game court 2 at Nation Ford HS with a business like 14 point, 12 rebound games against Palmetto Hurricane. This kid ultra effective on both ends of the floor. He plays bigger than his size, willing to mix it up with bigger player for rebounds. Will beat you off the dribble and will knock down open jumpers and his mid range game is pretty darn good too. He definitely has the JUICE. This young player from Robert B. Glen HS currently holds a offer from Columbia University in the Ivy League. Smart on the court and in the classroom.
#6 Jazian Gorman 6’1” Guard (Palmetto City Hurricanes 2022) class of 2022
In 2 games on court 2 at Nation Ford HS this combo guard was a scoring machine. Reels off points in bunches. As evident at one point were he scored 14 straight points. In game 8 he tallied 24 points and in game 1 he tallied 16 points. He has a definite scorers mentality, their is not a shot he is not willing to take. He can score at all 3 levels. Very athletic, quick and is a above average defender. A very fun player to watch. As he matures he will be a problem in every sense of the word.
#3 Omarion Farrar 6’4” Wing (Capital City Pacers) class of 2021
Scored 21 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and had 5 steals in a lost to Upward Stars in game 2 on court 2 at Nation Ford HS. He did all he could do to keep his team in the game. Hitting threes, attacking the basket, playing defense, rebounding the ball you name it he did it. Quiet game but ultra effective. Was a definite jack of all trades type of player. A very interesting player who just gets it done.
#23 Nathanael Roberts 6’1” Point Guard (Pro Skill Basketball-Wilmot) class of 2022
In 2 games on court 2 Nation Ford HS this kid was the floor general. When he is in the game and facilitating the offense PSB-Wilmot is a site to be hold. He constantly makes the right play, the right pass. Doesn’t score a bunch but he can if he wanted to. Will distribute the ball on time anywhere on the court. A calming presence with fundamentally sound ball handling skills. Not flashy just gets the job done. He controls the pace of the game the flow of the game everything a Point Guard should do. A old school pass Point Guard. A smooth operator for sure!!!
