Phenom Hoops gets to see a lot of players over the summertime during travel ball season. One player that has caught my eye on multiple occasions and continues to be a name that pops up on the MVP list and as one of the top scorers for his team is 2025 Dane Cassada for PSB Elite.

I got to see him in person first at the Phenom Challenge, where he was off the charts in scoring the ball, showcasing his terrific shot-making ability from multiple levels, being active all around the court, and making plays on the defensive end.

Our other scouts had this to say about Cassada:

'Cassada can play some ball! Good size and length for a young guard, understands how to manipulate and take advantage of the defense.'

'Really good young guard duo of Dane Cassada and Bryson Mickey; both guys play smart and know where the ball needs to go. Have proven they can knock down the 3-ball consistently.'

The young man has a nice early skill-set that will seem to only develop and help a team more as he gets older.  But right now, he is long and poses a consistent offensive threat from multiple areas on the court.  He moves well without the ball, getting to his spots to knock down shots, really showing his ability to knock down shots with range at a consistent rate.  Cassada also plays with a great IQ and early feel, really showing his growing maturity with his game.  Add that on top of the energy that he brings, one can see that Cassada has continued to take the necessary steps in his game and will only look to show more as he continues to gain experience and work on his feel.

But from what he has shown this summer, he is a name to keep an eye on in the 2025 class.
