At this point in the year, colleges are scrambling to find players. Many are looking for bigs, guys who can play but have (for whatever reason) fallen through the cracks.

Not only has Ivor Baric fallen through the cracks, he is also a highly academic student whose GPA and test scores can have him play anywhere in the country.

Baric, who came to the USA from Croatia in April of last year, took a bit to acclimate to the game. That along with lingering ankle injuries have kept him off the court just enough to fall under the radar.

Baric is a has great size and length, and plays with a great motor around the basket. You may as well mark Baric down for ten (10) boards the moment he steps on the court. Baric has great touch, both around the basket but also from 18 feet extended.

As we mentioned above, because of his newness to the states and his injuries not many have seen Baric. However, Current Maryland coach, and former Phenom Hoops analyst, Mark Bialkoski saw Baric multiple times. He wrote,''Ivor Baric who is a long lengthy four man from Croatia. He is more athletic than what meets the eye. He has the ability to alter shots at the rim and can rebound out of his area. Impressed with his footwork on his 15-foot jump shot that has an unusual high release. He does have a tendency to lean and fade on his jump shot allowing his momentum to carry him.' With repetition and confidence will become a productive pick and pop four man who can stretch a zone.' He is also aggressive on the glass. When asked about Ivor, Coach Miller communicates that he's 'Impressed with his work ethic and willingness to learn. Will be very attractive prospect to college coaches.'

As Mark mentioned above, Baric has great touch in pick and pop situations. With his motor and length, he also makes a living at the free throw line, where he is around an 80% shooter. At this point, Baric is like clay, with great natural tools and aptitude. He will be able to be molded into a very good player, who could outplay the level in which he ends up.

Baric is hearing from school such as Citadel and Cornell. With a 4.2 GPA, Baric will be able to pick the school in which he attends.
