We have known Patrick Rooks since he was in the fifth grade. He was a regular at the NC Junior Phenom and NC Phenom150 camps. After a stellar high school career, Patrick Rooks signed to play with Clemson University. After struggling with injuries, Rooks decided to transfer to Chipola Junior College. With his season and Juco career over it, now is the time that division one schools should be entertaining the services of the 6’3 shooting guard. We nicknamed Patrick “Mircrowave” simply because he could instantly heat up a gym with his efficient 3-point shooting. He has a nice shooting touch and the southpaw should be a high priority for mid to high major schools.

Now, let’s look at his numbers for the year. Through 28 games for Chipola Junior College, Rooks averaged 16.2 PPG. He shot 43% from the floor and 40.5% from the 3-point line. In addition, he shot 78.3% from the free throw line. Earlier in the season, Rooks was named the NJCAA Region 8 Player of the Week. During that week, Rooks averaged 28 PPG and 5 RPG and scored a season high 30 points at the Florida College Men’s Basketball Shootout in Ocala, Florida. In the 30-point game, Rooks went 14-15 from the free throw line and knocked down four 3-pointers. In the follow up game, Rooks finished with 26 points going 8-8 from the free throw line and once again dialed in four 3-pointers
