College coaches at the highest level will be getting to know 6'11 unsigned senior Jordy Tshimanaga of The MacDuffie School. Tshimanga's play was instrumental in the impressive 69-61 OT win over Wilbraham and Monson Academy. He finished with a double/double by tallying 13 points and grabbing a monster 19 rebounds. What makes this more impressive is he did this against 6'10 Wenyen Gabriel, who is committed to the University of Kentucky.

Tshimanga went 6-12 from the field and 1-2 from the free throw line. The lefty does sport a soft shooting touch around the rim. In addition, he doesn't mind throwing one down in a thunderous fashion. He collected a game high 19 rebounds with 16 of them coming on the defensive end. Tshimanaga is a two handed rebounder who grabs them with authority.

Offensively, Tshimanga has a wide frame and a nice size posterior, which he uses effectively for low post position. He uses his body well to seal the defender and has the ability to finish at the basket with efficiency. Although he only made 1-2 from the free throw line, Tshimanaga has a soft shooting touch. He has a high release with excellent backspin and rotation. We were impressed with his ability to work hard on the interior. He got good position and showed his hands really well.

Defensively, he was a demon on the boards. He does a tremendous job of boxing out and has a good feel for securing rebounds. Tshimanaga talks often on defense, which often shows how engaged one is in the game. Look for his stock to rise!
