High School Coach Evaluation: What jumps off the page about Daryl is his length, ability to shoot the ball, and his defensive versatility. We like to use Daryl in so many facets of the game. He brings so much energy and leadership to the table. He’s often the guy who brings intensity on both ends of the floor. In his ability to guard both perimeter and post players, he knows how to play and guard positions 1-5. Often times we will use him at the top of the press or zone to be disruptive. He has a dynamic skill set, range, and size that enables him to be a quintessential 3 & D player. As he continues to add strength to his frame, look for him to be even more of a force in what will be a breakout junior year/season for him. With the high GPA to match his game, Daryl’s recruitment should take off very soon! – Coach Brandon Jones, Head Coach Millwood School

Prep Hoops Scout Jack Herron say’s: When you have length like Anderson, it’s always good to know how to use it defensively which he does. Anderson’s typically put on the best shooter when he’s in the game, and he does a great job fighting through screens and making them shoot over his long arms. He’s surprisingly quick laterally, and most importantly he takes pride in shutting down the best of scorers.

AAU Coach Evaluation: Daryl is a skilled wing who brings versatility to an already solid 16U Boo Williams team. He gives maximum effort on the floor and stays connected when not on the floor. Daryl is a natural leader and continues to impress and improve every tournament. This Division I wing will be a household name by the end of July. – Coach Kenneth Chisholm, Boo Williams AAU

Coach Frank says: Daryl is a long and extremely athletic player who brings great energy and versatility. A left handed shooter with a nice stroke can score from all levels and create off the bounce. Daryl plays on balance, has excellent footwork and is an intelligent player. He moves well without the ball, receives the ball shot ready and has great extension on his shot. A disciplined shooter with deep three range. Daryl can sweep the ball through and with good quickness and a very good handle get to his “kill spots” to score, has an excellent mid range jumper. He hits the jumper off the dribble with very good consistency and can finish above the rim. His length combined with quickness and shifty basket attacking style makes him a tough matchup. Daryl rebounds the basketball well on both ends and blocks shots. A rim protector and good position defender in the paint, Daryl can also step out defensively and defend either wing. Actually defending is one of his strengths as he is quick laterally and has sound defensive footwork, is a lockdown perimeter defender with a great motor! He is a 2/3 type who can fill a variety of roles on a team because of his sound fundamentals, physical attributes and high motor effort. Daryl is an impressive talent with huge upside. Division I coaches should be on alert as Daryl Anderson is an exciting prospect worthy of immediate attention!
