Top Players
5’8 2023 Jamarius Peterkin (Mt. Tabor)
JP started the game off on fire. He scored 15 of his 24 points in the first quarter. He was scoring the ball in a variety of ways. He hit four 3’s in the game and had multiple finishes at the rim. JP was not only able to impact the game on offense, but he impacted the game more defensively. This was one of the best defensive stat lines I have ever seen in a game – 11 steals. He has really quick hands when guarding the ball and also has good anticipation skills when he is in the passing lanes. JP finished the game with 24 points and 11 steals.
6’2 2025 Shamarius Peterkin (Mt. Tabor)
Shamarius was really impressive last night. He controlled the game. He has great size at the guard position. Shamarius didn’t get sped up and made all the right reads on the court. Shamarius has the ability to score the basketball at all 3 levels. He knocked down three 3’s. He is a freshman that is worth having on your radar. If he continues to keep growing his game over the next four years there is no doubt, he will be a D-1 basketball player. Shamarius finished the game with 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assist.
6’2 2022 Finley Simmons (Mt. Tabor)
Finley is the type of player you want to have on your team. He is the heart and soul for Mount Tabor. He has the ability to impact the game in a variety of ways. Even though he only scored 2 points he still managed to grab 14 rebounds and dish out 6 assists. One of best attributes that stood out to me was his ability to lead with his voice and by example.
6’1 2023 O’Shae Fernaders (Mt. Tabor)
O’Shae is another starter who will have some big times games this year for Mount Tabor. O’Shae finished the game with 10 points. He was extremely confident shooting the ball from the perimeter, hitting two 3’s.
6’5 2023 James Spainhour (West Stokes)
James played extremely hard in the low post. He has good footwork in the post and showed a nice soft touch around the rim. James does a great job using his body and scoring with angles. James finished with 9 points and 7 rebounds.
2024 Camden Edmonds (West Stokes) We have seen Camden Edmonds have big games with the Winston 76ers multiple times throughout the summer. Last night was not his best game but still showed flashes that he is going to have a big sophomore season for West Stokes this year. Cam has good size for his position and has a great change of pace. Cam has the ability to score the ball in the variety of ways whether it’s getting to t
