Montverde has garnered a reputation as the top team in high school basketball and there's been little resistance against that notion. Justifiably so, as they've beaten everyone in their path while demolishing many opponents along the way. Tonight, The Patrick School lined up in their crosshairs and was tasked with trying to stop arguably the most talent-rich squad in the country. The first half was nothing short of an eruption by Montverde, jumping out to a quick double-digit lead and never turning back. Cade Cunningham and Day'Ron Sharpe led the way for Montverde while Jonathan Kuminga worked to keep The Patrick School afloat. Montverde walked into halftime with a 41-15 lead over The Patrick School.

The second half allowed Montverde to only continue to extend their lead, getting out, pushing the ball in transition, and scoring basically however they wanted. Sharpe, Cunningham, and Moses Moody led the way for Montverde. Kuminga held tough and still was able to dictate most of the offensive action for his team. However, it simply wasn't enough as Montverde rolled to a 77-32 victory over The Patrick School.
