The stage was set at the John Wall Holiday Invitational for another potentially competitive contest between a local squad in Millbrook and a national powerhouse in Montverde. However, this battle opened up and Montverde immediately took control of the pace and scoreboard. Everyone who logged minutes finished with points but Cade Cunningham, Caleb Houstan, and Moses Moody really shined the brightest. Millbrook had effective showings from Will Felton and Jalen McCoy but were largely unable to combat Montverde's surplus of talent, leading to a 47-21 halftime score.'

The second half featured more of the same, although Millbrook saw some additional pep from Eric van der Heijden. Montverde maintained their massive lead and never looked back, securing a 82-53 victory over Millbrook. They were led in scoring by Moody (15 points) and Houstan (14 points) but had an extremely balanced attack and saw efficient scoring performances from everyone on the roster. Millbrook's Felton (16 points and 10 rebounds), van der Heijden (16 points), and McCoy (10 points) carried the way to keep things competitive.
