What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:
“2025 6’10 Ben Ahmed is an absolute monster down low. His frame, strength, and size is so impressive. Can really bully opponents but also good footwork. Going to be a popular name.” – 3SSB Championships/ Patrick O’Brien
What He Brings to Miami:
The Hurricanes are looking strong nationally with yet another commitment, as Miami has been landing some big-time talent that brings value. First, 2025 6’4 Matthew Able was one of the fastest-rising prospects in the class before committing to the Hurricanes. Now, they have landed a big man who should be a huge difference-maker in the ACC in the coming years. Miami has several seniors and graduate students on the roster, and landing a prospect with his size and skill set should only benefit the program and allow the Hurricanes to match up nicely down the road. Ahmed is a load to handle, bullying his way in the paint, showing strong footwork at his size, effective with his back to the basket, and finishing strong through defenders, and love his motor on the glass. With his feel and skillset, he should be able to fit in well in the ACC and against other bigs in the conference. Ahmed also shows that he can step out at times, and moves well for his size, and his frame to help as a rim protector and battling on the boards. He should only continue to work on his conditioning at the next level, as this is a center you certainly could hear more about in the ACC in the coming years.
