In a crazy season like it has been in North Carolina this year, it has taken some time for teams to get their footing set and get on the winning trend.  Metrolina Christian seems to be one of those programs that are starting to click at the right time.  A team that has talent of all ages and levels, the Warriors started off the season with a 5-1 record before dropping a few games and finding themselves at 7-6.

Now, they have won eight of their last nine games, including a seven straight.

The Warriors are playing at a high level.  Five of the last seven wins have been by double-digits and they have been able to win some impressive games.  A win against Charlotte Christian, a win against Concord Academy, and a sweep of Northside Christian Academy should have the team riding high at this time.

If you haven’t had a chance to watch this team on the court, they are led by their senior in Camden Johnson, averaging nearly 15 points per game. Junior Blair Crumbie isn’t far behind him, while young players that we have grown to know quite well have stepped up. Freshman Dylan Deluca has stepped up to the challenge and Michael Wilson Jr. has been playing well in several areas.

This group of guys has been getting it done on both ends in the last few weeks now, both offensively and defensively.  They have been averaging 61 points in the last seven games offensively but have done a tremendous job defensively, giving up just 47 points during that span.

In a tough conference of the NCISAA Metrolina that consists of the likes of Concord Academy, Westminster Catawba, Northside Christian, and others that can easily step up and win a game, Metrolina Christian has been clicking at the right time and the Warriors hope they can continue making noise throughout the rest of the season.
