In the 17U Blue Division Gold Championship game, Manzer 17U went up against a Charlotte Nets 2021 ' Gainey team that was playing up an age group. This game was very tightly contested as both teams were going at each other and the game would come down to the wire. 5'10 guard James Marques once again played well in this one as he was able to use his quickness and three-point shooting ability to push Manzer out to an early lead while scoring 15 points in the contest. Frankly, the Nets wouldn't have been close if not for the play of lightning-quick point guard Tachai Miller who scored a game-high 31 points in a number of ways. He was knocking down shots from deep and getting to the free throw line. The matchup between Miller and Manzer's 5'10 guard Payton Lewis was the matchup of the game as Lewis was able to score 27 points and earning game MVP honors, his third of four games this weekend. The guard play from Manzer ultimately was the difference in this one as they defeated the Nets by a score of 68-64.
