Player: Davison Wright
Class: 2021
Height: 6'0
High School: Dorman, SC

Dorman has been a hotbed of talent over the years and that doesn't look like it is going to stop this season with the likes of Jalen Breazeale, Jordyn Surratt, Noah Clowney, and others.' But a key piece for this year's team has been the play of unsigned senior Davison Wright, a 6'0 guard that gets it done on both ends for Dorman.' He is an effective guard that works well both on and off the ball, plays with great pace, and brings it on the defensive end as well for this team.' Playing with and seeing the talent before him, has helped Wright in many ways.

'It has been a great experience,' Wright told Phenom Hoops.  'It helped me learn all the roles from each position. It has helped me become smarter with my reads and becoming a better guard.  I can score at all three levels and I'm everywhere from taking charges, steals, rebounding, and hustle plays.'

Recruitment has been slow his way but if you have watched Wright on the court, you can see that he provides a key piece to this team on both ends of the floor.

SC Top 80 Evaluation:

'Next, we look at a player that is capable of making his presence felt in various ways within the flow of the team, Davison Wright. He's a smart, skilled, fairly well-rounded guard prospect with the ability to operate from either backcourt position. Next in his development process is working to get stronger, as it would make him an even better finisher through contact. Coach Savage on Wright: 'Davison was really impressive Saturday evening; making the right plays, making shots and doing a good job of attacking the basket. He has a good understanding of the game, knows when and when not to take shots. Davison made some big plays in Game 1 Saturday vs NC Team 1 that helped us get back in the game. He has a good demeanor and is very coachable. On a loaded Dorman team Davison is a kid that could be overlooked due to the high-level players they have, but he is one to not sleep on. He's a heady combo guard that gets the job done.' Wright did a lot of things well at camp and will be a significant contributor for Dorman throughout the upcoming season.'
