What a year it was for Dorman high school on the court.' Rising up the national rankings all the way up to the No. 2 spot and securing a spot in the GEICO National Championship that unfortunately couldn't happen due to the pandemic.' But it was a year for the record books at Dorman but now several players will be heading off to their next adventures in college.

PJ Hall will be off to Clemson, Myles Tate has plans on being the next star at Butler, and Justin Amadi just recently committed to James Madison.

Dorman has built a reputation of reloading talent each year, which is why they continue to rack up championships in South Carolina.'

So it may be a good time to get an early glance at the key pieces that will be looking to step up next season for the program.' Here are players that will be a bigger part of Dorman's success next season.

In the class of 2021, you will have Jalen Breazeale returning after a fantastic junior season while Earl Burgess should become a bigger name on the court.  Breazeale was the starting point guard this season, starting every game and averaging 10 points and 5.5 assists per game. He's a smart, unselfish point guard prospect with a tight, crafty handle and nice passing instincts. Breazeale is exceptional at getting downhill, touching the paint, and finishing or kicking out to open teammates.  With the amount that is lost, Breazeale will be counted on to step up to the plate.

Burgess will be another senior counted on as far as leadership and using his frame around the paint.' He is a 4-man that has a great feel around the basket and continued to develop more on his perimeter game.' He currently holds a USC Upstate offer.

Heading to the class of 2022, two players should take another step in their development and certainly have the attention of college programs.' 6'5 Jordyn Surratt is a wing-type prospect that the coaches hope can fill in the scoring void Dorman may have heading into the season.' He is a long, athletic prospect that can play multiple positions.

6'9 Noah Clowney is another big down low that could be the next big-time forward coming from the program.  He is a long and rangy prospect that is only going to continue to get stronger and better with his game.  Going up against the likes of Amadi and Hall all year long will certainly pay dividends in the end and his offensive game should take another level.  He can rebound and block shots, as well as finish strong around the rim.

These are just a few names that will certainly be the focal points for Dorman to secure yet another championship but many others will look to step up to the challenge.  With the loss of six seniors, they certainly will have their opportunities.
