Summer ball is such a big time for so many prospects of all ages, whether it is older players looking to garner more attention and improve their recruitment, or young prospects that are just starting their story.  One player that we recently watched, and have watched over the last few years, is 2025 6'9 Gevonte Ware and though he has had some tough early battles, it looks like the big man is ready to make a statement this summer.

Early on with Ware, he had to battle a few ups and downs with some tough injuries that took him away from the court, but when watching him in Rock Hill once again at the Phenom Queen City Showcase, this is a big man that looks ready to go this summer.' Ware looks to be in great shape and continues to work on his body, looks healthy, and stronger than he has in the past; this all could equal a big summer for the 2025 big man.' When you watch him operate on the court today, Ware brings such a strong presence with how physical he can be around the basket.' Whether he is posting up on the block, stepping out and putting it on the deck to get to the basket, or attacking the glass for second-chance opportunities, Ware just has a knack for finding ways to be productive and a force down low.' He has such strong hands and the ball just seems to always find a way in his hands, carving out space and bullying defenders with his size.' But Ware looks like he has worked hard on his body, as he looks lighter on his feet and much more mobile, and it looks like he has been adding more to his game as well.

This is why this is a prospect in the Class of 2025 you could see popping up a lot more with college coaches' quickly.' Bigs always seem to take a little longer to develop, and Ware certainly has more time to continue his development as a prospect.' But from what we have seen over the last year, he has put in the work and is ready to make his presence felt in a big way.

Recruitment:

When speaking to Ware, there are plenty of schools that are catching on early. He officially earned his first offer from Mississippi State not long ago, but he informed Phenom Hoops that he has been receiving interest from Vanderbilt, Wisconsin, Eastern Michigan, Michigan, and Marquette.
