2022 Jeremy Gregory has been one of the premier bigs in the state of North Carolina and he is looking to showcase that he can be an even more dominant forward on the court.  When you talk about his game, Gregory has some of the best hands as a big with great touch, while he continues to put in the work in developing more of his overall game.

This past season, Gregory was certainly one of the focal points at North Meck, a program that continues its winning tradition.  He is now making that transition to travel ball, playing with Team Charlotte once again.  Gregory would say it has been an easy transition from school ball to travel ball, and he is bringing his lunch pail and going to work each day as he hopes this is going to be a big summer.

“It has been a very smooth transition switching from school ball with North Meck to now travel ball with Team Charlotte,” Gregory told Phenom Hoops.  “We have a group of players and coaches on Team Charlotte and my coaches give us the blueprint on how to win games and we execute it very well and we all just play the right way, so when we are doing those things it’s a really easy transition. My main focus with my personal games is to be more dominant two-way presence and to enforce my will on opponents down low while improving and continuing to work on my jump shot and ball-handling.”

Gregory was a double-double machine this past high school and has quickly shown he can do the same with Team Charlotte. This is why his recruitment could continue to rise as well this summer. Right now, Gregory holds offers from Mercer, South Florida, Charlotte, and Appalachian State, while schools like Boston College, Rice, Lehigh, Liberty, East Carolina, Georgia Tech, Tulsa, Wake Forest, NC State, Butler, SMU, Hofstra, Belmont, Georgia State, and UNCG have all expressed some level of interest his way.

“They all say I’m a very good player with great potential and they can’t wait to see me play in person when the live period begins in June and they are excited,” he said when asked what the schools have been saying his way.

All the schools that have offered so far continue to stay in constant contact with Gregory.  And schools like Mercer, USF, and Liberty have mentioned potentially visiting once everything starts to open up more.

Of course, Appalachian State is always a curious pick with his brother, Donovan Gregory, playing there and the staff certainly would love to add Jeremy to their 2022 recruiting class. “They would love to have me be a part of their program and that they are building something special.”

Playing once again on the big stage with Team Charlotte this summer and with the mindset of being even more dominant on the court, Gregory could be a hot target, both on the court and with his recruitment.
