The number of schools that should be lined up for former East Carolina star Jayden Gardner continues to grow and deservingly so. For a player from Wake Forest, North Carolina, Gardner has simply produced from Day 1 in Greenville, playing in 81 games and averaging 18.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists throughout his career.
To simply put, Gardner has been a star in the AAC. He was named to the AAC All-Freshman team in his first season, and then the AAC Second-Team as a sophomore, and eventually AAC First-Team this past season as a junior.
He also has been one of the most consistent prospects throughout the country over the past few years and the number of college programs that are lining up are extensive but should only continue to grow. When speaking with Gardner recently, he mentioned that he has heard from Arkansas, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Miami, Virginia, NC State, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Florida, Boston College, Vanderbilt, and Notre Dame… and that has just been in the last few days.
Expect more programs to show interest and come Gardner’s way, as he will be one of the top transfers in the portal this year.
