Position: Point Guard
School: Pike High School

Looking into the state of Indiana, we look to highlight a young rising prospect to really watch out for in 2026 6’3 DeZhon Hall.  Hall is a guard from Pike High School, and we wanted to dive more into his game, as he spoke to Phenom Hoops about how he plays, what he provides, how summer ball went, his first high-major offer from Illinois after his visit, and who else has been showing early interest.

Game Breakdown:

“I’d say I’m a 3-level scorer, an underrated passer, and a defender. Super strong at getting to the basket, athletic, and can get to the free throw line at any given time. I have a nice mid-range pull-up and a solid 3-point shooter. I’m trying to keep improving on all these things so I can continue to get better.”

Areas Looking to Improve In:

“That I can defend at a high level, be a leader, be a point guard, and also a better shooter.”

Summer Ball:

“I think it went pretty well. I felt like I could have shown a lot more, but I did pretty well.  I was able to show that I can score from all three levels, create for my teammates, and play defense.”

Earning First High-Major Offer from Illinois:

“That was a huge offer for me.  I say that because this is my first high-major offer and it is in the Big Ten, and everyone knows about that.  I like everything about the Illinois program; they have plenty of amazing history.”

Early Recruitment and Other Interests:

“I have an IUPUI offer, then I have interest from schools like Ohio State, Indiana, Northwestern, Michigan State, Notre Dame, and many more.  They like how aggressive I am on both sides of the ball, how I can get downhill to the rim, how athletic I am, and how I can score, along with plenty of other things.  Also, they like how I can score on all three levels.”
