There are a lot of meaningful subplots for Phenom's upcoming Capital City Jam at Ben Lippen High School, but few will be more intriguing than the tandem of Quentin Hodge and Juwan Perdue. It seems like not too long ago that we were talking about how Perdue was starting to become overlooked and should be getting courted by an abundance of Division I programs. Somehow only Radford, Austin Peay, and Jacksonville State were wise enough to extend a scholarship offer to the 6-foot-7 forward prospect. JSU was the first program involved and continued to further the notion that building the relationship matters above all else, as Perdue committed two months ago. So what makes him must-see entertainment' Well, aside from being one of the most unique players in the region, Perdue always brings a strong motor and an element of high-flying excitement. He's already put multiple opponents on a poster this season and looks likely to continue punishing anyone that steps in his path.

Meanwhile, Hodge comes from a slightly different mold, but has maintained a similar level of dominance throughout the current season. Like Perdue, Hodge is long, rangy, and athletic, which immediately causes issues for opponents. That being said, his smooth skillset and overall ability to efficiently score the ball from all three levels is what separates him from other prospects. Hodge possesses great size for the wing position and should continue to add strength to his wiry frame. Right now, no one is really sure of his ceiling, because there's no real limit to his long-term potential, especially given his blend of size, scoring, and versatility. Once he adds weight, it'll be incredibly difficult to imagine a scenario where Hodge isn't a high-major prospect.

So folks need to come see these guys before it's too late, as both players are in the process of breaking out. Lakewood is littered with talent, so it'll be interesting to see how they matchup with a very loaded Liberty Heights squad.
