The Shehan Sisters looking to lead the way for Lake Norman
2025 Samantha Shehan and 2025 Alexis Shehan are looking to make a statement this year, with them being the clear leaders for this team as they look to make another run at a title. Samantha and Alexis can really score the ball, as they showed in Game 1 when they combined for 64 of the team’s 87 points. These two are clear next-level players and they are coming out swinging this year.

Coach Cox and NC GBB have always been a very talented program and this year looks to be no different. They bring a roster full of D1 talent that will be on display in a big game against Lake Norman. 2024 Maddie Pounds, 2024 Khloe Miller, and 2024 Krystal Haddock have all proven themselves and committed to D1 programs, while 2025 Jamaria Freeman, 2026 Lola Richardson, 2026 Britni Silver, 2026 Tia Bryant, and others are all headed that was as college-level prospects. The game between NC GBB and Lake Norman should have the area buzzing!

We got a chance to watch Hickory Ridge at the George Lynch Invitational, and they look to bounce back in another showing with Lady Phenom this week at the Phenom Lakesgiving. They go up against United Faith to start the event, as the Gidney sisters and others look to put their talents on display. This is a tough, gritty team that attacks and gets downhill, and they would love nothing more than to walk away with a win this weekend.
