What a year the Rockets had last year under Coach Whitaker, finishing the season with a 22-5 overall record, going 11-1 in conference play, and making a run in the playoffs. Now, AC Reynolds is back and they return much of the same firepower that they had last year, as they have their eyes on an even bigger prize this year.
Leading the charge will be 2023 Jenna Barnes, who is coming off a junior campaign in which she averaged 12.8 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. Barnes will be one of the clear go-to players once again for the Rockets and should be a name that pops up more for college coaches as she is receiving some interest from schools already.
Behind her, 2025 Peyton Harvey is another name to get familiar with if you haven’t already. As a freshman, she had an excellent season averaging 10.7 points per game, and has already garnered an offer from Presbyterian. With a year under her belt, expect Harvey to take the next steps in her development and become an even bigger factor for her team.
2023 Landyn Stewart will be a big senior for her team, nearly averaging a double-double last year (9.0ppg, 9.3rpg), and should be another veteran that helps lead the charge. 2024 Julie Janus stepped up nicely last year and should only progress in her game and what she can help with the team. Those four are all returners from last year and averaged over eight points per game, as the Rockets will have firepower to lead the way.
Expect other players though to step up as well, players like 2025 Ava Young, 2024 Anna Wilcox, and 2025 Addie Long all could be names to watch as well and will help provide depth.
