We continue to spotlight players around the state of North Carolina, as we are now taking a look at a rising guard from Western Alamance in 2025 5’5 Allie Sykes. Sykes is a guard that continues to show that she can be a threat with her range but also be a playmaker on the floor, creating off the dribble and being a presence on both ends.
She is coming off a season at Western Alamance, as she averaged nearly 14 points as a freshman and should on continue to develop and elevate her play this season. Sykes will be one to watch out for.
Phenom: How would you best describe your game'
Sykes: I am an aggressive point guard and I really like to play fast. I also love getting my teammates involved and talking on the court.
Phenom: How do you like to operate offensively and how do you like to impact the floor'
Sykes: I love pushing the ball up the court and pushing the tempo. I like to shoot from outside and create for my teammates on offense as well. I take pride in defense, and I never want to lose a game so I think that makes me play even harder.
