What a day it was at the Lady NC Top 80, as not only was it a great way to showcase the talent around the state but it also kicked off what we hope to bring with Lady Phenom. We want to continue the coverage from the event, as we talk about more players that grabbed our attention.
A freshman that we have heard/seen a small bit before the camp, she quickly made herself a name aththe Lady NC Top 80. 2026 Gabrielle Troy Mebane came into the camp fearless and looking to show what she can do. Troy-Mebane is coming off a solid high school season in which she averaged 9.6ppg, 2.0apg, and 2.4spg, and she should only continue to add more and develop as a prospect.
At the event, Troy-Mebane came out firing, showing her tremendous confidence as a young prospect. She did a great job in showing her ability to create her shot, along with range. Troy-Mebane was able to display her shooting ability from multiple levels; she has strong ball skills, plays hard on both ends of the court, and has a strong feel for the game as a player of her age. But her biggest strength that she showed consistently is her ability to knock down shots. It will be interesting to see how she continues to develop, as she is a name to watch out for.
