What a day it was at the Lady NC Top 80, as not only was it a great way to showcase the talent around the state but it also kicked off what we hope to bring with Lady Phenom. We want to continue the coverage of the event, as we talk about more players that grabbed our attention.
One player that captured a lot of our scouts' attention at the event was 2025 5'1 Samantha Collins, who plays at Greensboro Day. One of several Bengals that stood out, Collins was one that played with a great feel and understanding of the game. She quickly showed her ability to impact a game and her feel as a guard. Collins is a strong presence on both ends of the court, competes defensively, plays scrappy offensively, and can make plays from a variety of levels. But what she also does is play within an offense, bringing an unselfish feel to the court and one that knows how to make the right play.
Right now, her recruitment has taken off but believe she is a player that could help a program and is one to look at in the Class of 2025 in North Carolina.
