It was another great weekend of high school basketball for Phenom Hoops, and on Day 2 we had a tremendous matchup with TW Andrews and Ben L. Smith. Getting a chance to watch some intriguing talent, one young player caught our eye with her production as a young big but also the potential in her game.
2026 6’0 Janiya Milligan from TW Andrews was one that made her presence felt on the court and received early minutes as a freshman. She presents great size for her age, but you also see the flashes that should allow her to garner more attention her way down the road. She uses her size well around the basket, keeping the ball high, staying active in the paint, and being a presence defensively and on the boards. Was also intrigued by her comfort level in putting the ball on the deck to make plays.
Though it is still very early in her high school career, Milligan is a player that I believe you could be hearing more about as she continues to grow and develop her overall feel. There are certainly key pieces in her game that stands out early on.
