Each and every time Phenom Hoops gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day. It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.
Here is the latest commitment.
Player: Jamyia Lindsey
Class: 2025
Committed to: North Carolina A&T
On Sunday night, North Carolina A&T learned that they would be picking up a very good commitment from an in-state prospect in 2025 Jamyia Lindsey from Richmond Senior High School. Lindsey, who will be heading into her junior season, was a player that Lady Phenom spotlighted after her freshman campaign, in which she was averaging 24 points per game and putting on a show. And when you watch more about her game, she is a very intriguing get with her ability. She is a strong ball handler and creator, displaying a tremendous feel in finishing strong and getting around defenders to score. Lindsey knows how to score from multiple levels, and excels in the open court but also knows how to break down defenders in the halfcourt. She also reads the floor well, which is why she can be a strong playmaker on the court as well as her impact defensively.
Why She Chose A&T:
“I chose A&T because they’ve shown constant interest since my freshman year. They’ve been to multiple games and I’ve had great conversations with the coaching staff over the recruiting process. Although I tore my ACL, it didn’t change their consistency and they always made sure I was doing good in recovery. They’ve shown love since the first day they saw me play and it hasn’t stopped since.”
How She Would Describe Her Game (2021):
“I would describe my game as an attacker. I like to push the ball in transition and I like to get to the rack and finish at the rim or shoot my floater over taller players. I shoot free throws pretty well, so I like to draw fouls. I’ve been working on my mid-range game a lot so that is how I like to operate.”
