School: Riverdale High School, TN

Turek is a defensive stud and a rebounding machine. Gray understands owning the paint on both ends as he gobbles up boards like a man possessed. Never seen a kid this size sacrifice his body for so many charges. It’s an art form for Gray. And thinking of a free easy shot anywhere near him is a fantasy. With nice timing and footwork always ready to throw it right back at you. Gray can and will get you some points but hangs his hat on that defense and board work to impact every game. Gray chose that role and worked it to perfection. Gray uses his high motor to fuel his skills with his warrior mentality and grit no one outworks Gray. Relentless at getting it done on the boards and that stingy defense. Oh, and Gray can drop a nice dime too. Last season, Gray averaged 6 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 1-2 charges per game. The ultimate blue-collar gem. Doesn’t need the spotlight to have a huge impact. Gray has set the goals for this upcoming season is to lead his team to the district tournament championship, make it to regionals, and give them a shot at getting to the state tournament. The biggest goal of all is to see all the hard work he put in during the summer. Establishing the time he set by being more of a scorer than before. He achieved that in the AAU session by being more assertive with putbacks finishing around the rim and causing bigger problems with his mid-range game while not forcing shots or altering team chemistry.

Player: Gavin Carter
Twitter: @gavincarter2024
Height: 6’2, 162
Class of 2024
School: Chaparral High School

Carter is lightning fast off the bounce. Crafty and creative as the engine that makes this offense go. Gavin has some of the tightest handles in the business. With a wicked floater that’s nearly unguardable because he can also shoot the three, defenders must respect him all over the floor. Gavin kills defenders with his blow-by-speed to free himself up to get that floater. With amazing court vision and a high offensive IQ, Gavin drives in making the right playmaking decisions for his team. Gavin excels at playing hard-nosed defense. In the AAU session, Gavin averaged 16 points and 5 assists per game. Gavin’s biggest improvement was elevating his strength, speed, and jumping ability. The hard work paid off to play hard and now he has increased his vertical. Gavin’s highlight of the summer was playing with the teammates he bonded with as they traveled all over the country.

Player: Zeriah Kincaid

Height: 5’11, 175lbs
Class of 2024
School: Moe and Gene Johnson

Kincaid is an electric athlete and quick as a cat. This young stud can explode off the bounce with blow-by speed for easy finishes at the rim. Zeriah is a knockdown catch-and-shoot sniper shooting 38 percent from deep. Can drop a sweet dime. Zeriah is an item but that defense is special. Zeriah is a lockdown perimeter defender. It was a beautiful thing to watch Zeriah put on quite a show out there on both ends of the court. He elevated his ability to facilitate the offense so effectively. In Texas, Zeriah was the difference in a tight game as he locked up the best player on the opposing team. Big meant nothing to Zeriah that fire was burning. Zeriah’s biggest improvement over the summer was his ball handling and creating his own shot off the dribble. Last season, Zeriah averaged 9pts, 3rebs, 3asts, and 1.5 stls. Zeriah’s goal for the upcoming season is to win OPOY, 30 wins, first-team all-district while averaging 15 points per game. What separates Zeriah is his work ethic and his high basketball IQ. Zeriah was a coach on the floor. He is hungry. Kid just wants to play. Zeriah won’t back down from anyone and will outwork anyone on that floor and be that defensive stud every coach dreams of. He is going to be some fun in Texas this season.
