School: Jay M. Robinson
Division: 1A/2A Conference 35

We continue to look at programs around the state of North Carolina that are finding success this season.  One program that we are taking a look at today is the Bulldogs of Jay M. Robinson high school, who are off to a 12-2 start and are 4-0 in conference play as of today.

The Bulldogs are an intriguing team to look at, as they bring experience to the table along with talent.  They are tough in slowing down offensively, averaging nearly 76 points per game so far and they have a balanced attack.  On any given night, a player can step up and lead the charge.

One premier talent in North Carolina, both on the court and on the football field, 2023 Daevin Hobbs has been incredibly strong, averaging nearly 16 points per game as he is a very skilled prospect with size, power, and can operate from several areas.

They also have 2023 Jermaine Gray and 2023 ZiKei Wheeler helping out on the court, using their football frames to bring a physical presence on the court.   Both are averaging double-digits on the season and have stepped up when needed.  And let’s not forget 2022 Jaylan Jackson, who is averaging 12.5 points per game as well.

Four players averaging double-digits, bringing a physical nature to the court, and a team with a balanced attack, Jay M. Robinson is a team that is quietly having a strong season and could be one to reckon with come towards the end of the season. Watch out for the Bulldogs.
