Coach Scott Miller

Jordan Nelson 36, 5'5 Hickory Grove, NC, 2021

Nelson had a great weekend. What stood out about him was his knowledge of the gam; plays hard, nice handle, and coachable. Coach Miller on Jordan Nelson: 'He needs to continue to play to get up his confidence. Jordan is a solid player. His offense and basketball IQ is his strength. If Jordan works on his confidence he will go far. Enjoyed coaching this young man.'

Tenzin Nyima 100, 6'2 St. Anne Belfield, VA, 2021

Tenzin has nice size for his age; able to play multiple positions, plays with energy and passion, has great ranger for a big. Coach Miller on Tenzin Nyima: Tenzin is a solid big man. Willing to play a position he was not used to playing. Team player with a solid all around game. Always works hard. Nice shot from outside and knows how to work inside just as well.

James Prescott 65, 5'8 Alliance Christian Academy, VA, 2022

James is a player that makes every one of the floor better has all the intangibles a coach wants being the leader on a team; very skilled player; gets everyone involve, nice handle, three level scorer. Coach Miller on James Prescott: 'This young man is a true leader and motivator! Our team leader with amazing poise and talent. James had no problem playing where the team needs. This young man is the model basketball player. Only player with all excellent marks. James is a baller!'

Riggs Handy 3, 4'11 Greensboro Day School, NC, 2022

Rigg is short in statue but has the biggest heart of any young player at Phenom. He was will to guard anyone no matter how big the task; the will to win is unmated but other players, nice handle, great shooter; Coach Miller on Riggs Handy: 'Riggs is a firecracker. His heart and desire is unmatched. He does not care that much if the other players are taller than him. Above average 3 point shooter.'

Kolbe Ashe 41, 5'6 Hayesville MS, NC, 2022

Kolbe was very good this weekend. He is always trying to set other teammates up for scoring opportunities; very unselfish team first player, good catch and shoot player, puts it on the floor if needed, can also score it at the rim. Coach Miller on Kolbe Ashe: 'Kolbe is a quiet young man but solid all around game. His three point shot is solid but also very good at driving to the goal. Selfless player who is more about his team that himself.'

Leslie Owens 69, 5'9 Hillcrest MS, SC, 2022

Leslie defense is light years better than his offense at this stage of his game. He was an excellent defender; great athlete has great feet, and rebound inside and outside of his area. Coach Miller on Leslie Owens: 'Leslie is an all-around solid player. His defense is strong. Leslie likes to play aggressive and drive. Leslie needs to work on dribbling a little more and he will be a solid player.' If Leslie continues to work hard he will be a solid two-way player.

Canon Roberts 72, 5'9 Ledford MS, NC, 2023

After watching Canon play, I could see right away the only thing this kids needs is to continue to get on the floor. He has many tools to work with that needs time to develop. You could tell by the way he played that he loves the game and has the will to get better; has great feet; great catch and shoot play, very unselfish. Coach Miller on Canon Roberts: 'Cannon is a selfless player. I love his hard work and enthusiasm. Cannon needs to play with a little more confidence. All around solid player. Smart kid who loves the game.'

Nicholas Harrison 79, 5'10 Arendell Parrott, NC, 2021

Nicholas was one of the better players at his age group this weekend. He can score the ball on all three levels. Many of the coaches think that if he continues to work and push himself that he will defiantly be able to play on the college level; three level scorer, good rebounder, great length, good athleticism. Coach Miller on Nicholas Harrison: 'Nick is a solid basketball gamer. His shooting is his best asset, especially his 3 point shot. Our high scorer. Excellent opportunity for Nick to play college ball. Great attitude and wants to learn.'
