It is the start of the month of June and Phenom Hoops is INCREDIBLY excited about putting on the JMAC Showcase this weekend! High-level teams will be coming to the Fort Mill area, looking to compete and gear themselves up for a big few upcoming months.

So, lets start looking at a few teams and players to watch for this weekend. Here are a few names to look out for.

Team: NC Flames 2022

#35 Drew Bean (2022, F, 6’1”)

Drew is a workhorse around the basket which allows him to be effective against bigger players. He scores at the basket but can also step out and shoot the three. He is very effective getting to the free throw line.

#5 Elijah Burnett (2023, PG, 5’8”)

Elijah uses crafty ballhandling and change of speeds very effectively to hunt the lane and set up other players and get to the basket. He has good vision and can step out and shoot the three. A very good defender.

#40 Logan Craig (2022, F, 6’1”)

Logan is very effective from three-point range and is also able to get to the basket. With good size, he is effective on the glass and possesses good vision to find the open man.

#11 Colin Fayed (2023, PG/SG, 5’7”)

Colin is a knockdown three-point shooter and is effective scoring from the midrange as well. He is a crafty ball handler with a quick first step he uses to hunt the lane to set up other players and get to the free-throw line.

#7 Micah Handlogten (2022, C, 6’7”)

Micah is a very intelligent low post player who has good hands and can finish around the hoop. Good ball handler for his size. On defense he uses his length effectively to alter shots and rebound.

#42 Matthew Jackson (2022, F, 6’4”)

Matthew has good moves around the basket and can score effectively. He can step out and hit the mid-range jumper. On defense, his length enables him to alter shots of opposing players.

#15 Jeremiah Jones (2022, PG, 5’8”)

Jeremiah is a high energy player and a great on the ball defender. He is an unselfish offensive player looking to first set up his teammates but is a very capable scorer taking it to the basket and can step out and hit the three.

#8 Evan Montanari (2022, SG, 5’10”)

Evan is a very good three-point shooter and is an effective scorer from midrange as well. He does a good job getting the ball to his teammates in a position to score. He is an excellent defender with length he uses to be disruptive on defensive end.
