6’10” PJ Hall
AAU: Upward Stars SE
High School: Dorman
We have been saying it for over a year, but the blow up is starting to happen. Hall picked up his first high major from South Carolina offer in June, followed by Florida a month later. Today he can add, Clemson, Pittsburgh and Georgia all to that Power 5 mix. As we have been saying Hall is a Top 100 guy, with the upside to slide into the Top 50, and more. He is long with incredible timing and can step out and knock down 3s with regularity. We have a feeling this one is just getting started as he has the look of a national type recruit, a big who can play in most any system. He has been the number 1 prospect in SCs 2020 class since our first ranking.
6’3” Saiveon Williams
AAU: Young & Reckless
High School: Rock Hill
Williams is a tough, hard-nosed two-way player who plays with a chip on his shoulder. He turned some heads this summer with a Depaul offer, which came on an visit to campus. He is one who goes out and makes winning plays on both ends as he plays an aggressive brand of basketball with strength and athleticism. He routinely goes out and puts up double-doubles with 5 assists, as his basketball acumen, and motor, is off the charts. Williams currently resides at number 5 in SCs 2020 class.
6’5” Quentin Hodge
AAU: Team SC
High School: Lakewood
Hodge has all the tools, carrying an explosive and lengthy frame. He can shoot the outside shot off the catch and is able to create offense in the half court, attacking the rim. Hodge has impressive lift as he will rise up at least once a game and clear everyone out of the gym. Hodge snagged his first this summer with Florida Gulf Coast extending, more should be on the way. Hodge sits as the number 3 player SCs 2020 class. He is one who could take a major step this season.
6’9” Patrick Iriel
AAU: Upward Stars SE
High School: AC Flora
One saying has been tried and true since the beginning of basketball, “You can’t teach height.” Iriel has always been tall, but over the last year it has been his coordination and skill that has really taken a step. Iriel is good over both shoulders with soft, passer-friendly hands and sneaky athleticism to punch it on you. Iriel picked up his first offer from USC-Upstate, more should be coming as he is seen. Iriel currently sits at number 7 in SCs 2020 rankings.
6’8” Javon Benson
AAU: Carolina Wolves
High School: Ridge View
Benson passes the look test, as he walks on the floor with a big, long and strong frame. Once he gets on the floor, he plays with all out abandon. Benson is an explosive big man who goes after every rebound, tries to block every shot and attempts to dunk everything. When he gets rolling it is incredibly fun to watch. Unfortunately he doesn’t have any offers, yet. However, those will come as Ridge View is the defending state champion with everyone back, he will be seen. Benson is currently number 15 in SCs 2020 class, that should rise with the next ranking.
