The state of South Carolina continues to impress with their amount of basketball talent, but it feels like not enough folks are talking about James Lovorn and T.L. Hanna High School. Between Lovorn and John Haddock Rodgers, they already have more scholarship-level prospects than a vast majority of programs from the Palmetto State. However, Lovorn collecting his first Division I offer from Presbyterian really makes things interesting for the near future. Will this be the first of many' How will Lovorn operate without his primary running mate in Rodgers next season' There are questions to be asked, but let's take a closer look at Lovorn.

We saw the Yellow Jackets during our most recent team camp, where we stated, 'This TL Hanna squad can really hurt opponents in a variety of ways, but Lovorn was arguably their most reliable all-around performer during this contest. He's a smart, two-way point guard whose primary focus is making quality decisions and setting up his teammates. However, Lovorn is also a very capable three-level scorer that can create space with relative ease. He's likely been the most poised and efficient floor general in attendance.'

Although his scoring prowess seemed to shine more throughout the season, everything stated then still remains true today. Lovorn is a phenomenal perimeter shooter with the percentage (39% from distance) to match. He's quick and heady off the bounce, which allows him to touch the paint and set up others quite regularly. Lovorn runs the two-man game with poise and has the ability to find open teammates from anywhere on the court. If he continues to sharpen his ball security and efficiency as an interior scorer, Lovorn could feasibly collect another handful of offers by this time next year.
