On Monday morning, Ja'Dun Michael announced his decision to stay home and commit to Elon University, essentially shocking the entire grassroots community. After de-committing from Wichita State, Michael narrowed his list down to seven schools: Cincinnati, ECU, Elon, Penn State, NC State, Pittsburgh, Texas A&M, and Virginia.

Elon obviously stuck out the most from this group, even if they had an advantage the other programs couldn't match. Coach Schrage and staff have done a terrific job of recruiting North Carolina and the surrounding areas since taking over. They haven't been shy about pursuing all types of elite prospects, which has come to fruition with the commitment of Michael.'

In terms of what he'll bring to the table, Michael is a proven two-way wing/forward with size, strength, and quality versatility. He can initiate offense, create effectively for himself or others, and understands how to assert himself from all three levels. His ability to operate with or without the ball and apply offensive pressure is quite useful, given his overall instincts as a cutter.

Michael does a strong amount of everything, from scoring to rebounding, and knows how to defend multiple positions with relative ease. There's a clear scenario where he could contribute right away, especially if he continues to trend upward.'
