6'6' 2018 Isaiah Bigelow
Commits to Charlotte
By Rick Lewis

We've been a fan of 6'5 Isaiah Bigelow of Ben L. Smith for quite some time. We're talking about a long, lengthy skilled wing guard that can flat 'light it up' from deep. And to make matters even better, Bigelow is just starting to scratch the surface on his long range potential. What's impressive about the highly efficient scoring wing is he doesn't demand the ball to be a lethal scorer. He is patient on offense and does the majority of his scoring coming off screens and moving without the ball. While he does need to add strength, his game will translate perfectly to Head Coach Mark Price and the Charlotte 49ers.

After his performance in the prestigious North Carolina Top 80 we wrote, 'Bigelow is a good athlete but he is most noted as a shooter. He carries range beyond the 3-point arc and a soft release. Bigelow played with a good motor and ran the floor with a purpose. A good scorer with good size.'

After his performance in in Phenom's Southern Jam Live, Bigelow went off. He went off to pick up seven offers after the show, and it was well deserved. After this event we wrote, 'We remain perplexed for how Bigelow only carries two Division 1 offers. In fact, we said numerous times this weekend that every school in North Carolina (not in the ACC) should have offered Bigelow. He is that talented, with that kind of upside. Standing at a lengthy 6'6', Bigelow is an advanced 3-level scorer. He shoots the ball with deep range and a cat-quick release. He is athletic when attacking the rim and has great footwork in shot prep. Bigelow averaged over 20 points per game, shooting over 50% from the field. He picked up multiple offers after this event, and more are sure to be rolling in.'

Bigelow is such a smooth and fluid scorer and can score from all three levels. With his length and height, Bigelow also has a quick release, which will only make him more difficult to defend at the collegiate level. We've been impressed with his versatility and has made a huge jump in our rankings for the North Carolina 2018 class where he is now ranked the 16th top prospect in this loaded class.
