A player that should start gaining attention here in North Carolina is 2027 6’7 Isaiah Williams, a familiar name with Phenom Hoops over the last year or so but really showcased his potential recently at the Hoop State League.
In a very good class early on for North Carolina, Williams would be one that I have my eyes on and watch more as he develops. He offers a lot of intrigue and one can see that he has quietly taken the next steps in his game and is understanding more of what he is capable of providing. He is a long, athletic prospect who moves well and impacts the game in a variety of ways. Williams shows the ability to score inside, along with tremendous fluidity and creativity with the ball in his hands, knowing that he can finish strong in the paint, attack the rim, or make plays for himself. As we mentioned below, he is capable of facing up and attacking on straight-line drives off the bounce but uses his length really well on both sides of the ball.
Again, in a strong Class of 2027 here in North Carolina, Williams has a chance to really make a name for himself with some of the best in the state.
