One of the hottest prospects in the state of North Carolina has to be 2021 6'6 Lucas Taylor from Heritage high school, as he has received multiple offers from schools and this may only be the start.

Taylor has received offers from Hofstra, Holy Cross, North Carolina A&T, and possibly his biggest offer coming from Vanderbilt.

'It's been good,' Taylor told.  'I feel like the hard work I've been putting in is starting to pay off.  Still have a long way to go though.'

Those four offers now join Wofford and East Carolina in his recruitment.

The Commodores was his latest offer and certainly a big one for Taylor, coming from an outstanding conference like the SEC.  Getting a chance to talk to Coach Stackhouse was also something special for him.

'I love it,' Taylor said about the Vanderbilt offer.  'Really like Coach Stackhouse and what he is building there; they've been watching for a while.'

'One of the assistants called me before saying they had been watching me and wanted to recruit me.  Then, the next day, Coach Stackhouse called just saying that he loved my game and how I can shoot and score and that he wanted to offer.  It was great.  He is really down to earth and a cool dude.  He has something building at Vandy for sure.'

Taylor will certainly be looking more into what the Commodores have to offer but playing in a conference with the likes of Kentucky, LSU, and others certainly catches his eye early on, as well as how Coach Stackhouse lets his players play.

This also may not be the last time you hear of Taylor, as schools like Houston, Xavier, Marquette, Tulsa, Murray State, Stanford, Howard, and Notre Dame have all been in talks as of late.
