Hunter Huss is off to a really good start the season and they have proven early on that they are going to be fighters every time they step on the court. This is a team that competes, creates havoc, and is led by its strong guard play. That is what they showed at the Phenom 828 Showcase once again, and they are hoping to bring a bit more noise this season. We break down the players that have been catching our eyes early on with his team.
2027 Zaiyir Phillips
Phillips has shown that he can be a strong scoring threat, a creator out in space, and one who is able to be a valuable playmaker for himself and others. He plays hard and with a competitive edge, scores inside and out, and leads the offense well.
2028 Jaleel Smith
Smith is a very talented yet young prospect who does a great job of showcasing how crafty and creative he can be with the ball in his hands. He excels really well in creating for himself, whether it is getting to his spots, creating around defenders to score inside, or finding others as well. A rising star here in North Carolina.
2027 Antonio Worthy
Worthy fits his name, as he brings a lot of worth to the table for his team. He does a great job in stepping up when needed, finding the open spots on the court, playing well off the ball and being a threat to knock down open jumpers with range, but also uses his athleticism well to make plays in other areas. He continues to be a tremendous piece of this team.
2026 Zamarius Gladden
Gladden is a scrappy, two-way prospect who does a great job in not only creating havoc defensively but is in attack mode offensively. He is quick and tough, really can be a strong on-ball defender, and looks to create steals, but also uses that speed to attack the defense, make plays for himself and others, and push the pace in transition.
