What Does this Mean for Houston:

It is a great day to be a fan of the Houston Cougars, as they landed one of, if not the, top big men in the Class of 2025 in 6’10 Chris Cenac. Cenac checks off a lot of boxes that you like and shows that he is quite skilled for his size. Between his blend of frame, fluidity, touch, impact inside, and comfort level from outside, the 6’10 big man offers a lot on the court. We watched him at the NBA Top 100 not long ago, and we had this to say: “Cenac Jr. was yet another big that really impressed us and we hope we get to watch him more. But from what we saw, this is a young man who has the size and skillset to hurt you in a variety of ways. Whether he wants to be physical down in the post and body through defenders, finish at the rim, create off the dribble and score, or step out from behind the arc, Cenac offers A LOT to the table that college coaches would love to have. Which is why he walked away with multiple offers from the event and should see his stock rise by many.”

Now as far as this goes for Houston, not only do they land one of the top prospects in the class and one of the best big men as well, but the Cougar’s recruiting class is shaping up to be one of the best ever with four commitments, three of which find themselves ranked as Top-100 prospects. He will allow Houston to be a force down low, with a ton of upside overall with his game, and Houston will be looking to continue their strong run with the future talent.
