This weekend, Phenom Hoops will officially begin our annual Hoopstate Fall League. Previously, games were hosted at Cox Mill and JD Lewis Center, but Rise Indoor Sports will also be added to the mix this year. Between three separate venues, kids from several different areas will have the opportunity to compete against other notable programs as they prepare for the upcoming high school season. Leading up to the preseason contests, we will preview some of the teams registered to attend—looking at Green Level High School.
After their most successful season in school history, the Gators enter the upcoming year with high expectations. Going from winless to nearly undefeated in only three seasons is legitimately unbelievable. Although notable seniors like Tye Cain and Trey Manhertz moved onto the next level, Green Level is set to return most of their core pieces. The year-round duo of Isaac Ericksen and Israel Eatman alone accounted for over half of the team’s scoring production last season. It wouldn’t be shocking if both guys averaged in the 20+ PPG range. Their slew of young, blossoming guys should also take steps forward. Either way, this group has a real chance to contend for a title behind their senior pairing.
