This weekend, Phenom Hoops will officially begin our annual Hoopstate Fall League. Previously, games were hosted at Cox Mill and JD Lewis Center, but Rise Indoor Sports will also be added to the mix this year. Between three separate venues, kids from several different areas will have the opportunity to compete against other notable programs as they prepare for the upcoming high school season. Leading up to the preseason contests, we will preview some of the teams registered to attend—looking at Chambers High School.

It probably goes without saying, but the Cougars enter the season as one of the most talented teams in North Carolina—especially amongst public and private schools. Their foundation starts with a pair of nationally regarded prospects in Tarris Bouie and Markus Kerr. Although they graduated two key seniors, this group has the necessary depth to insert new guys in a position for success. Jaydon Terrell should be an x-factor and a definite target for college coaches as one of the main seniors on the roster. Expect guys like Malik McCotter and Cameron Thompson to see visible uptick in production going forward.
