WCDS started the game in a “Box & 1” looking to take Quay Watson out of the game. The first quarter was rightly contested. Great team basketball from both teams as they trade making stops and baskets. Playing inside-out, WCDS was able to jump out in front. Timely shot making from Hopewell resulted in bringing the game back within 1 as the first half came to a close. Quay Walker got off to a quick start scoring the first three buckets in the second half. It was shortly stopped due to Jai Williams having his hands full face guarding Walker 94 feet. Quay Walker, despite the obvious efforts to stop him, still finds a way to leave his mark on this game. After a back and forth 4th quarter, Hopewell took the lead and held on tight. This game came down to the last minute and a half leaving the one person, Quay Walker on the free-throw line to seal the deal. Hopewell wins 57-52.
