In the fifth game of the day, Trinity Christian of Fayetteville took on Westover. The first quarter saw Westover take a 14-8 lead with 5 different players scoring. The Wolverines also had 4 assists from 4 different players in the quarter as well. After a scrappy second quarter in which both teams were outstanding defensively, the Wolverines were able to bring a 23-15 lead into the half. Both teams had balanced scoring attacks with 12 total players getting into the points column. Jeremiah McGrady led Westover with 6 and DeVaughn Brown led TCS with 7.

The defensive battle continued deep into the second half with Westover clinging to a single-digit lead for a majority of the time. Westover held consistent on the defensive end, using their aggressive approach in the half court to force turnovers and bad shots, which often led to easy attempts on the other end. Westover closed it out with a 45-41 win, making clutch free throws down the stretch to seal the victory.
