Richmond jumped off to a fast start. The Raiders displayed a defensive identity to start the game. With long athletic wings like Julien Cole and Paul McNeil they were consistently in the passing lanes. Steals seemed to come easy for Richmond. They were able to create fast break opportunities by pushing off rebounds and steals. Their run was matched by the grit and heart on the part of the Trinity Christian Crusaders. Led by DeVaughn Brown the Crusaders remained in striking distance. The combination of creating for himself and others allowed for Diamonte and Diavonte Shepard to leave their marks on the game. The speed and pace in which these brothers play makes it difficult for any defender to cover. Unfortunately it was not enough to overcome the drive and determination to win from Richmond. A nice distribution of the workload from the Richmond Raiders. Julien Cole 16pts, Javian Drake 14pts, and Paul McNeil 13pts was too much to handle for the Trinity Christian Crusaders. Final Score 69-54.
