Victory Christian and Bull City Prep Durham continued the action in the arena court.  Victory Christian was looking o make another statement but Bull City Durham had other ideas to start the game, as they came out focused and determined, really attacking the paint and getting buckets at the rim. VCCS started to get a few more buckets out in transition and picked up the energy, which helped them grab the lead in the second quarter and create a little space before halftime.  In the second half, Tajuan Simpkins and Demar Anderson took charge to create the space needed but Abrahm Driver and Mazi Jackson kept it competitive throughout. VCCS though ended the event in terrific fashion, securing the 74-55 victory on the final day.

Stats:
Victory:
Lewis Duarte 21 points
Demar Anderson 18 points
Takai Simpkins 16 points

Bull City Prep:
Mazi Jackson 23 points
Abrahm Driver 15 points

Standouts:

2022 Mazi Jackson (Bull City Prep Durham): Jackson was off the charts in this game for his team, really putting his team on his back.  He was really aggressive on the court, showing his ability to penetrate and finish tough finish after tough finish. Jackson operated all around the rim today and was the main scorer for his team.

2023 Abrahm Driver (Bull City Prep Durham): The sophomore big man had a very solid game, finishing with 15 points and showing some flashes with his post moves, his feel back to the basket, soft touch, and his footwork.

2021 Demar Anderson (Victory): Anderson has been a favorite of ours for some time now and it is fun to see him back on the floor and where he is today. Anderson is a true leader on the floor, scores the ball well inside and out, and is just a tough worker on the court. I'm telling you, this is one that coaches will want to learn more about.' Today though, he scored inside and out, attacked the basket, and isn't afraid of playing physically.

2022 Lewis Duarte (Victory): Honestly, I'm not sure what else we could say about this young man, which is a good thing. Duarte, night in and night out, simply puts on a show with his incredible skill set, his bounce on both ends, and how he sees the floor and the game. This young man is looking like one of the top players in the state in his class.
