It may have been getting a little late on Monday night but fans got themselves a REAL treat between Greensboro Day and Northside Christian.  These teams battled all the way throughout the game, as neither team was able to break away and it stayed within one or two possessions for much of the game.  Greensboro Day held the small lead at halftime 28-27 and a narrow lead at the end of the third. But Northside Christian was able to tie it up late at 58 to send this game into overtime.  In overtime with Northside up one, GDS was able to create a turnover and it was the play of Tyler Lundblade, who came up with the game-winning bucket in the end. Northside had a chance at the end but it didn't fall, as GDS won 62-61.

Greensboro Day:
Michael Zanoni 21 points
Jaydon Young 15 points
Tyler Lundblade 14 points

Standouts:

2022 Michael Zanoni (Greensboro Day): Zanoni is an absolute machine with his jumper, as he can be incredibly efficient and smooth from three and with his mid-range.  But he also doesn't force anything on the court and will make you pay if you leave him open. High IQ prospect with a great feel.

2021 Glynn Hubbard (Northside Christian): Hubbard continues to be a quick, shifty guard that can create for himself off the dribble, which he did on multiple occasions but also get other involved and play at different paces on the floor.  He had some strong showings, especially with his dribble penetration.

2023 Jaydon Young (Greensboro Day): The young prospect played strong for much of the game, using his body well, attacking the small gaps and creating for himself, or knocking down the open shot.  He plays with such poise and makes the game look easy at times, letting it come to him.

2023 Wesley Tubbs (Northside Christian): Like to always say that this young man could get the hustle award every time he steps on the court and he deserves it, making plays on the court on both ends. Great length and can be an animal on the floor with his versatility, feel in getting the ball on the rim, and being able to create for himself.
