Game 3 kicked off as the action continued in Rock Hill. Two teams in North Carolina came down to battle it out, as Carmel Christian and Calvary Day took the court.  It was a tight one in the first half, with both teams playing scrappy basketball.  Carmel took the early 17-13 lead after the first, led by their big three but it wasn't until the second quarter until they really started to take over, outscoring Calvary Day 21-6.  Carmel continued to hold their lead throughout the third, as Burnham and Kyle Bean led the charge but Calvary Day, led by James Wilkins III, started to cut the lead down in the fourth.  But the hole was too big, as Carmel Christian took home the 68-60 victory at the Holiday Classic.

Stats:
Carmel Christian:
Kyle Bean 18 points
Ben Burnham 16 points
Cade Tyson 10 points

Calvary Day:
James Wilkins III 21 points
Donovan Robinson 12 points
Zech Gibson 7 points

Standouts:

2021 Justin Taylor (Carmel Christian): Taylor made an early statement with a throwdown to give him his 1,000th point, so a huge congrats to him on that.  But Taylor plays really well in seeing the floor, a good pace, and was aggressive on the offensive end, penetrating the lane and making plays or knocking down his shots.

2022 Kyle Bean (Carmel Christian): Bean played really well, showing us a little bit of everything in his game.  He can be known more for his outside or jumpers but you have to also notice that he does have some bounce in his game as well.  He plays hard, plays with a good IQ, and doesn't force much on the court.  Love what he provides to this team and showed it today.

2022 James Wilkins III (Calvary Day): Wilkins continues to produce for this team, scoring in an array of ways and on multiple levels. He is a shifty guard that runs the team, plays with a good IQ, and knows how to get his shots and create well off the dribble. If he doesn't have the ball in his hands, understands space and how to find room for his shot. Continues to produce on the court every time he plays.
