We continued to our five o’clock game between Carmel Christian and Bull City Durham on Tuesday in Rock Hill. Both teams looked to get a feel for each other on both sides of the ball early on but Carmel Christian was the first to create the small separation at the end of the first half, leading 21-13. Bull City started to knock down some shots outside but Carmel was able to really execute and move the ball well, finding the best shot to increase their lead into double digits in the second quarter. Carmel was led by their four starts in Taylor, Benham, Tyson, and Bynum, while it was the three ball that seemed to be effective for Bull City in the first half. However, they still found themselves down 43-31 at half. Carmel Christian was able to extend their lead even more in the third quarter, outscoring Bull City Prep 21-9 and eventually took home the 83-61 victory

2022 Mazi Jackson (Bull City Prep): Jackson was effective with his perimeter shooting in this game, knocking down multiple shots from around the arc. Jackson’s ability to space the floor and find open spots, as well as his ability to be another ball-handler on the court is tough. He did his damage from three today though.
2021 Glenn Bynum (Carmel Christian): You simply just have to love what this young man provides on the court for his team. Ultimate glue guy, does the dirty work, and brings his lunch pail to go to work. It doesn’t matter what he needs to do, he is just going to do it and brings a great motor and energy. Plays really strong and showed it on both ends of the floor.
2021 Ben Burnham (Carmel Christian): Feel like a broken record with Burnham but he just continues to impress and produce. This is a young man that has a chance to be an All-Conference type player at the next level. He was tremendous once again with his reaction and second jumps, simply just being quicker than his opponents. Add that on top of his big-time athleticism and feel for the game, Burnham simply amazes you with what he provides on the court.
