Almost three years later, the effects of Covid have derailed high school recruiting. There are literally dozens of prospects that could be listed here as guys who should have way more action within their individual recruitment'even after two graduating classes already suffered the same consequence. Transfers still remain the top priority for college coaches. That being said, plenty of these transfers have made lateral moves, but most are going down a level in order to have the appropriate level of success. This is not a foolproof method. Look at someone like Teyachta Harris, who has all the makings of a dynamic, versatile piece at the next level, yet currently holds no offers.

Considering the East Rowan leader is posting nightly averages of 26.0 PPG, 12.0 RPG, and 1.5 BPG with impressive 59/50/62 shooting splits, the lack of recruitment simply doesn't make sense. They've had some struggles as a team, but it's clear that Harris is doing everything possible to try and propel this squad forward. At 6-foot-7 with feel and ball skills, Harris is able to regularly dictate the action as the main creator and apply constant scoring pressure against the opposition. The aforementioned shooting splits clearly show a high level of efficiency, especially for a long, physical forward with toughness and athleticism. He's a capable playmaker and ball-handler with the ability to cause matchup problems against various types of opponents. Harris also plays effectively in transition and finishes with consistency.

The concept is pretty simple: offer talented players and positive things will happen. It might sound crazy, but having a player for four years and getting to mold them seems more beneficial than getting a player who has already established habits for two. There's just no real reason or explanation to justify Harris' current recruitment. Hopefully more programs will get involved over the coming months, as Harris will be an impactful piece wherever he ends up.
