The third annual Tyler Lewis HoopFest continued onward with an intriguing matchup between Greensboro Day School and Woodberry Forest High School. Things got off to somewhat of a slow start, as both teams were comfortable getting into their sets with patience, working for quality looks, and seizing opportunities when available. However, the early, steady play of Will Otto, Addison Newkirk, and Trace Moffit positioned the Bengals to exit the first quarter with a 10-4 lead. In the second period, both teams pushed the pace with more frequency and saw more offensive chances as a result. Woodberry Forest found more flow, but so did Greensboro Day—extending the lead to 25-13 at halftime. Following the break, Woodberry Forest came out with a newfound purpose and heightened sense of intensity. Led by Alejandro Ford and Keondre Huggins (with meaningful contributions from Sheldon Robinson and Marjus Mazeika), the Tigers worked to mount their comeback. It ultimately got down a one-possession contest during crunch time, but the Bengals gained separation in the final minute to secure a 50-43 victory over Woodberry Forest.
